Creek Nation offering summer youth employment program

The Muscogee (Creek) Nation is taking applications for a summer youth employment program. This program is designed to provide Native American youth, from any federally recognized tribe, between the ages of 16 and 21, with work experience and the opportunity to develop life skills.

All applications will be taken over the phone. Each participant is assigned to a work site supervisor as well as a Creek Nation summer youth counselor.

The eight-week program helps young people gain experience, training, responsibility and income. All participants must live within the boundaries of Creek Nation. Participants must be 16 by June 7, and not turn 22 years of age before July 30.

To apply, you must call the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, Employment & Training at (800) 482-1979, ext. 7775 and 7776 or 732-7600, ext. 7775 or 7776 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday starting Dec. 21 and April 9.
