Haskell sex offender failed to register

A Haskell man pleaded guilty in federal court Thursday to failing to register as a sex offender, a media release states.

Albert Preston Alexander, 42, was indicted in September.

The indictment alleges that from on or about May until on or about Sept. 4, Alexander, who is required to register as a sex offender under the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act, failed to register and update his registration as required.

Alexander has a felony conviction from the State of California, Riverside County, for the offense of induce intercourse.

Sentencing will be scheduled upon completion of a presentence investigation. Alexander will remain in custody.
