Crash kills driver, injures two boys

A Tahlequah woman died in a single-vehicle crash and her two passengers were injured about a mile west of Oklahoma 10 in Cherokee County, an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper’s report states.

Misty Rogers, 32, died at the scene from her injuries. Her passengers, two 10-year-old boys, were treated at Tahlequah City Hospital and released. About 5:46 p.m., Rogers was driving a 1997 Ford on Oklahoma 82B. She ran off the right side of the road, re-entered the roadway and then ran off the left side of the road. The vehicle struck a tree and came to rest upright in a ditch. Rogers was not wearing a seat belt, but her passengers were. The cause of the collision is under investigation, the report states.
