Vets’ adaptive cycling session set at Civitan

The Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center and The Center for Individuals with Physical Challenges in Tulsa will hold an Adaptive Cycling Ride for veterans Monday at Civitan Park.

The Center will provide adaptive bicycles for veterans to use during the Adaptive Cycling Ride, which will take place at 10 a.m. To RSVP or for information: Meghan Collins, (918) 577-3874. Civitan Park is at 3301 Gibson St.

JCMVAMC developed the Adaptive Sports Program for veterans with physical and visual disabilities to give them the opportunity to become involved in adaptive sports, outdoor recreation, fitness programs and leisure activity. Through this program, veterans are able to re-establish an independent and active lifestyle in their communities and become mentors for other veterans and service members.
