Jailer freed after no charges filed in alleged beating plot

— A Muskogee County/City Detention Center employee arrested Friday in an alleged jail beating plot was released Monday.

Dallas Cox appeared in court Monday via closed-circuit television and was told by Special District Judge Robin Adair that no charges would be filed and that he would be released.

Cox had been jailed in a different county.

Muskogee County District Attorney Larry Moore said his office received insufficient evidence to warrant any charges.
