Crash leaves two injured

Authorities work to clear the roadway following a one-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon. Muskogee Police Officer Wesley Biles said witnesses told him the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed, south on East Side Boulevard, near Callahan and Broadway. The vehicle veered left across two lanes and hit a light pole. Biles said there were two men in the vehicle at the time of the crash. The passenger was able to exit the vehicle, but emergency crews used rescue tools to free the driver, Biles said. Both were transported from the scene by ambulance.
