Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Cherokee Country presents “Holiday Evening with CASA,” from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 13 at the First Methodist Church activity building.
The annual fundraiser will include homemade baked spaghetti, tossed salad, garlic bread, desserts and beverages. Members of the Tahlequah High School Show Choir will bring live entertainment, both a silent auction and a live auction will be held, and door prizes will be given away.
Cost for the evening is $15; children ages 6-12 are $7.50; children younger than 6 years enter free. Tickets may be purchased from any CASA board member, staff member, or at the CASA office, 304 W. Keetoowah St.
CASA recruits, screens, trains, and supervises volunteers to speak for the best interests of children who enter the court system as a result of abuse and/or neglect. Proceeds from ticket sales will be used to increase services for children served by CASA volunteers in Cherokee County District Court, Adair County District Court, and Cherokee Nation Tribal Court.
