Mom charged with neglect, drug use

A Muskogee woman was charged Tuesday with neglecting her 13-year-old and her 2-month-old children by exposing them to use and possession of drugs.

Crystal Stalling, 33, was arrested Saturday and released on $25,000 bond.

Police were called at a disturbance at approximately 9:05 p.m. in the 2100 block of North Main Street. When officers arrived, they found Stalling to be lethargic, unresponsive and incoherent. A witness told police Stalling and the father of Stalling’s 2-month-old had taken PCP in Stalling’s bedroom with the baby in the room with them. When the baby’s father learned police were on their way, he fled. Stalling was taken to EASTAR Health System and was medically cleared before being taken to the Muskogee County/City Detention Facility, the officer’s report states. She has since been released on bond.

Stalling will be in court April 22. At that time, a date will be set for a preliminary hearing.
