City woman faces stabbing charge

Charges were filed Friday alleging a Muskogee woman stabbed a man at an apartment.

Christine Mashel Starling, 40, was charged with felony assault and battery with a dangerous weapon in Muskogee County District Court.

Starling is accused of stabbing Joshua Evans, 24, of Muskogee in the stomach with a kitchen knife Wednesday evening during an argument in an Honor Heights Tower apartment.

Starling was out of the Muskogee County/City Detention Facility Thursday on $15,000 bond.

She will next appear in court at 9 a.m. Oct. 3 for a sounding docket, where a date for her preliminary hearing will be set.
