Woman jailed in alleged murder plot

Two males say she asked them to help kill ex-boyfriend

A woman is being held without bond in the Muskogee County/City Detention Facility after allegedly trying to have her boyfriend killed, police said.

Kenna Morrison, 30, was booked into jail Sunday night on complaints of solicitation of murder in the first degree and conspiracy, Muskogee police Cpl. Michael Mahan said.

Morrison is expected to be back in Muskogee County District Court at 3 p.m. today to be charged.

Police received a call Sunday from two males who were acquainted with Morrison.

“They told the responding officer they had been talking with her,” Mahan said. “She had contacted them and had asked them to assist with the killing of her live-in boyfriend. They (Morrison and her boyfriend) had a falling out (Sunday), and he kicked her out of the residence.”

The Investigations Division, in cooperation with the local FBI office, conducted the investigation. Both men Morrison allegedly solicited were interviewed.

“They (police) have obtained audio recordings of her, and in those recordings she is discussing different means of committing the crime,” Mahan said.

Muskogee police Investigator Rob Frazier warned the boyfriend, Mahan said. His name was not released.

“This event was supposed to take place today,” Mahan said.

A third male who also was involved is cooperating with police investigators. He has not been arrested.

Morrison was arrested about 7:10 p.m. Sunday.
