Member off MPS board

Muskogee School Board member Stacy Alexander can no longer serve on the board, a Muskogee Public Schools spokeswoman said late Friday.

Alexander did not achieve the required state-mandated training.

“She did some training, but not enough,” MPS spokeswoman Wendy Burton said. “We feel she served well, and we’re disappointed this happened.”

Burton said the school board has 60 days to appoint a new member.
