Molestation trial reset eighth time

A non-jury trial scheduled to begin Wednesday for a man charged with two counts of lewd molestation has been rescheduled for the eighth time.

Michael George Dunn, 46, of Muskogee is accused of showing pornography to a 13-year-old music student in July 2010.

Dunn’s jury trial was reset four times in Muskogee County after he was charged.

A non-jury trial was reset in June 2012 but wasn’t granted until March.

The non-jury trials were rescheduled twice when all local judges recused themselves from the case.

Muskogee County Assistant District Attorney Dan Medlock said the trial was moved again because a witness was recovering from surgery.

Another non-jury trial is scheduled for 9 a.m. Nov. 12 in the Muskogee Courthouse before Wagoner County Judge Darrell Shepherd.
