NSU wants Centurion nominees

Northeastern State University will add 10 members to its roll of NSU Centurions, according to a media release.

NSU selected 100 individuals as inaugural recipients of the Centurion Award during its Centennial Celebration in 2009, and adds 10 names to the Centurion list each year.

The honors are given to members of the NSU family — alumni, faculty, staff, students or any member of the community whether past or present — who affected the life of the nominator, the Northeastern community or the public at large. This year a new category has been added, “NSU Community Supporter.”

Nominees can be living or deceased and should embody the legacy and spirit of NSU. To submit a nomination, visit the Centurion nomination page at nsuok.edu/CenturionNomination.aspx and fill out the form. Nominations are also accepted by mail at Office of the President, attn: Julienne, Northeastern State University, 600 N. Grand Ave., Tahlequah OK 74464 or by fax at (918) 444-2015.

Nominations must be submitted by Nov. 29.

The new Centurions will be announced the first week of January. They will be honored as part of the NSU’s Founder’s Day 2014 during a luncheon at noon March 6 in the University Center.

Information: President’s office, (918) 444-2018.
