Butterfly garden grand opening set

A grand opening ceremony for the butterfly garden at Honor Heights Park is set for 10 a.m. Saturday.

Butterflies will be released during the event at three times — 10:45 a.m., 11:45 a.m., and 12:30 p.m.

Educational butterfly exhibits, art, interactive butterfly arts and crafts and more will be featured during the event, which runs until 6 p.m.

The cost is $5 for adults is $4, for seniors/students/military (with ID), $3 for children 3-17 and free for Friends of Honor Heights Park members.

The event is sponsored by the Friends of Honor Heights Park, a not-for-profit volunteer organization.
