AAA offers rides for St. Patrick’s weekend

— AAA is offering local drivers a safe, free ride home this St. Patrick’s Day holiday, according to a media release.

The release states drivers in Muskogee and Tahlequah, as well as seven other Oklahoma locations, can call AAA between noon Sunday and 4 a.m. Monday to use the Tipsy Tow service.

“Too many times, we hear of Oklahomans getting into trouble when they attempt to drive after drinking,” said Chuck Mai, spokesman for AAA Oklahoma. “Over the holidays, up to 40 percent of all fatal crashes involve alcohol. We know holiday partiers are going to drink — this way, motorists and their vehicles get home in one piece.”

To access AAA’s Tipsy Tow service, call (800) 222-4357 and ask for Tipsy Tow. The service is offered, no questions asked, to AAA members and non-members. AAA will give you and your car a free ride home, within a 15-mile radius from the point of pick-up, anytime during the 16-hour period.
