Hilldale presents character awards

Hilldale Middle School’s Character First Awards for Forgiveness for the month of February went to: Kodiac Hunter, eighth grade; Kayelee Brendle, seventh grade; and Rebecca Herriman (not shown), eighth grade. Trena Valdez, who teaches seventh- and eighth-grade math, also was recognized. Hilldale Middle School works to develop programs that build strong citizens through character education, leadership development, community involvement and a climate of mutual respect. Hilldale’s student council sponsors the Character First program.
