According to the report, the three-vehicle crash took place in Bourbon County, about six miles south of Fort Scott, Kan., on U.S. 69 near mile marker 57.1 at approximately 3:50 p.m. Saturday. Geoffry Lynn Kyser, 61, of Miami was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer southbound, and Jacob Perry was driving a 2012 Jeep Patriot, also southbound. Brandon Shaw was driving a 2007 Chevrolet HHR northbound. Kyser’s vehicle side-swiped Perry’s. Perry’s vehicle spun around and was struck in the passenger-side door by Shaw’s vehicle. Kyser was not injured. The trooper’s report said it was unclear if Michael Perry was wearing a seat belt, but everyone else in the three vehicles were wearing seat belts.
