Charges filed after burglary loot recovered

— A Muskogee man was charged Wednesday after his arrest last week in connection with a series of burglaries.

Jason Michael Fulton, 37, is charged with possession of a firearm after former felony conviction and five counts of knowingly concealing stolen property.

Court documents state Fulton was in possession of a Sig Sauer P250 9 mm handgun after a former felony drug conviction for unlawful possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

The documents also list some of the items allegedly recovered from the scene of Fulton’s arrest, in the 400 block of Elberta Street.

Most of the items listed are jewelry, silverware and electronics.

Police said Fulton had been connected to at least five burglaries, although that number could increase as items are reunited with their owners.

Fulton is being held on $250,000 bond at the Muskogee County/City Detention Center.

He will be in court April 9 for a sounding docket to determine a date for his preliminary hearing.
