Two charged with robbery

Man, woman also face conspiracy charge

Two people were charged Friday in Muskogee County District Court with conjoint robbery and conspiring to commit conjoint robbery.

Cory Dean Lee, 26, and Kandi Michell Pittman-Goodwin, 28, are being held in the Muskogee County/City Detention Facility on $250,000 bond each.

According to the police report, Lee, of Lawton went into the EZ Mart at 5390 W. Okmulgee Ave., robbed the clerk at knifepoint and forced her into the freezer at about 2 a.m. Thursday.

Pittman-Goodwin of Muskogee was allegedly waiting in a vehicle outside the store.

Police reports state the couple fled eastbound on Okmulgee in a vehicle driven by Pittman-Goodwin.

Police located the couple in less than 30 minutes at the Sooner Motel on North 32nd Street.

Court documents state Lee took cash, scratch-off lottery tickets and cigarettes from the convenience store.

The clerk, who was not hurt, was able to provide the 911 dispatcher with a detailed description of the person who robbed her as well as a description of the car. She also said the man told her to remain in the freezer for five minutes.

Lee and Pittman-Goodwin will be back in court April 11. At that time, a date will be set for a preliminary hearing. At the conclusion of the hearing, a judge will determine if the couple should stand trial.
