Wreck leaves 2 hurt in Cherokee County

Two Locust Grove women were injured Friday in a one-vehicle collision, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.

Katherine Riley, 57, was transported by ambulance to Saint Francis Hospital, and her condition was unavailable Saturday afternoon. Geneva Holmes, 78, was transported by helicopter to Saint Francis, and her condition was unavailable Saturday afternoon.

Riley was driving a 2005 Nissan southbound on Highway 82 south of Peggs in Cherokee County, when she ran off the right side of the road, according to the report. The vehicle rolled a half time, then came to rest on its top. The vehicle was equipped with seat belts, which both women were wearing, and airbags, which did not deploy.
