Porum seeks help with painting project

Porum officials are seeking painters willing to help improve the town’s appearance.

Volunteers would spend Saturday painting a house on Main Street, said Mayor Trisha McCann. The project is part of Fresh Paint Days, a program of Keep Oklahoma Beautiful.

McCann said volunteers will start painting a house just south of the Assembly of God around 9 a.m. Saturday. The church has agreed to provide lunch, she said.

“I’ll take as many people as possible, the more the merrier,” McCann said.

Paint for the project is donated by H.I.S. Coatings and a stipend from Public Service Company of Oklahoma funds paint supplies, McCann said.
