A Muskogee man was sentenced to federal prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to a media release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Jesse Lawrence Warren, 26, was sentenced to 72 months in prison to be followed by three years of supervised release.
Warren was indicted in November and pleaded guilty in December.
The indictment alleged that on or about May 20, 2012, Warren, having been convicted of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year, possessed a Glock Model 22, .40-caliber semi-automatic handgun
Warren will remain in custody pending transportation to the designated federal prison at which he will serve his nonparolable sentence.
