A.M. UPDATE: Contract awarded for resurfacing in Muskogee County

A contract was awarded this month for street resurfacing in Muskogee County, Sen. Earl Garrison and State Rep. Jerry McPeak said.

According to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, the project involves resurfacing streets with asphalt on U.S. 62 from U.S. 69, extending east.

Garrison, D-Muskogee, said the State Transportation Commission awarded over a $650,000 contract on the project to Glover & Associates Inc. The Muskogee company was the lowest of two bidders for the job, said McPeak, D-Warner.

Once construction begins, the project is estimated to be completed Oct. 31.
