Two houses, two fires, one street

— This empty house on Reeves Street just north of Miller Street burned down early Tuesday at the same time as an empty house at Fifth and Miller streets burned down. One fire was reported about 4:34 a.m. and the other about 5:45 a.m., according to 911 call logs. An occupied house next to the fire at Fifth and Miller sustained considerable damage to the siding along one side. A cause has yet to be determined for either fire, fire officials said.
