A Muskogee man arrested for owing more than $100,000 in back child support was ordered Thursday to be held on a cash bond for the exact amount he owes.
Odis Loudermilk, 54, was arrested Wednesday at a home on Houston Street by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, said Deputy Marshal Dustin Chastain.
Muskogee District Attorney Larry Moore said Loudermilk owes $111,458.22 in back child support in a different state.
Darrin Berry of the Fugitive Task Force said he knocked on the door of the house just before 6 p.m. and saw Loudermilk in the kitchen. He was arrested without incident, Berry said.
“Somebody called into dispatch and advised where (Loudermilk) was staying,” Berry said. “So we went over and knocked on the door and picked him up.”
Moore said there are no criminal charges on Loudermilk in Oklahoma, but local authorities will enforce the other state’s request to hold Loudermilk. He didn’t identify the other state.
Loudermilk will appear before District Judge Mike Norman sometime in the next two weeks, Moore said, unless he can post the $111,458.22 bond.
“In the past, Norman has put people in jail up to six months for not paying their child support,” he said.
