VAMC creative arts contest coming

— The Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center will have its annual creative arts competition Jan. 28-29. Enrolled veterans are invited to participate.

This competition includes more than 53 art categories, ranging from oil painting to leatherwork and even paint-by-number kits. There are also 120 more categories pertaining to music, dance, drama and creative writing.

A national selection committee will choose the first, second and third place winners. Select winners will be invited to attend the National Veterans Creative Arts Festival, which is scheduled for Oct. 21-27 in Reno, Nev.
