Area man dies following crash

A Fort Gibson man injured in a crash in LeFlore County on Nov. 3 died Tuesday morning, a media release states.

Michael Dobbs, 62, died at 9:13 a.m. at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The report states Dobbs was injured when he crashed the 2011 Suzuki motorcycle he was driving westbound on Oklahoma 1. Dobbs missed a curve and ran off the left side of the road, overturning the motorcycle. Stacy Dobbs, 57, also was injured in the crash. Both Michael and Stacy Dobbs were wearing helmets at the time of the crash, the report states.
