P.M. UPDATE: Police make arrest in alleged rape at motel

— Muskogee police arrested a man early Thursday after he allegedly raped a woman at an area motel.

Kevin Cornelius Carter, 32, was arrested after a patrol stop a few blocks away from Travel Inn. Muskogee Police Department Lt. Bobby Lee said a woman told police she met with Carter at the motel, and that he raped her, held her there against her will and robbed her. Carter was arrested in a vehicle a few blocks away shortly after the woman called police.
