Sentences deferred in child neglect case

Two Muskogee residents charged with child neglect each have pleaded guilty and received three-year deferred sentences, court records state.

Sarah Elizabeth Jameson, 24, and Michael Keplinger, 29, were arrested in September by Muskogee police at the American Motel, 200 S. 32nd St.

An affidavit states that two small children were in the room, and Jameson and Keplinger appeared to be under the influence of a substance and were sweating uncontrollably.

Bags of “K2,” or synthetic marijuana, were found in the room, the affidavit states.

Jameson was 8 1/2 months pregnant at the time of the arrest.
