Darlene Stogsdill, 77, of Bernice, OK, died Thursday, May 1, 2008, at Integris Grove General Hospital in Grove after an illness.
She was born January 9, 1931 in Welch, OK, to Wesley and Sophie Bell (McCreary) Stewart. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was a long time former resident of Commerce. She lived in Bernice for 3 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and her husband Gerald. Survivors include 1 son, Gerald Stogsdill, Knoxville, TN; 3 daughters, Star Sharp, Cindy Cheater of Bernice, OK, and Trixie Ingram of Checotah, OK; 2 sisters, Marie Laswell, Miami, OK and Ann Hilton of Newtonia, MO; 1 brother, Clyde Harrgis, Miami, OK; 9 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 5, 2008, at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami with Chaplain Bob Barker officiating. Interment will follow in the G.A.R. Cemetery. The family will serve as pallbearers.
Family will receive friends and relatives Sunday, May 4, 2008, from 4-5 at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home, 1432 B Street Northwest, Miami, OK 918 542-4451.
