— George C. Noblia, 78 year old Checotah resident, passed from this life early Friday evening, May 2, 2008 at his home in rural McIntosh County. George was born on March 20, 1930 in Bakersfield, CA, and was a veteran of the US Army. He spent most of his life working on a ranch. George was proceeded in death by his parents, a brother, and in Nov. 2006, his wife Joyce.
Survivors include his sons, John Noblia, Doug Noblia, and Gary Noblia all of Bakersfield, CA, George Noblia of Yuma, AZ, Dennis Jones of Arvin, CA, and Michael Jones of Checotah; 9 grandchildren, and a host of other friends and relatives.
Funeral services for George Noblia will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at 2:00 PM in the Hampton Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Wendell Cox officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery.
