George Lehman

George Lehman died Sunday, May 4, 2008 at the age of 85, at his home in Fort Myers, FL. George was born in Guthrie, Oklahoma on April 3, 1923.
He served as a radar operator in the United States Coast Guard during World War II. After the war, he attended Central State University in Edmond , Oklahoma and Washington State University in Seattle, Washington.
After ten years working for a seismograph company, George joined National Steel Erectors of Muskogee , Oklahoma in 1957. Over the next thirty-one years he managed tower construction projects for National Steel Erectors and its associate company Tower Inspection, Inc. of which he was president of when he retired in 1988. George loved boating and after retirement he and his wife Dolores drove their boat from their backyard in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma to their new home in Fort Myers, FL where they enjoyed many years of boating with friends and family.
He is survived by his wife, Dolores; brother, Ray (Margaret Ann) Lehman of Muskogee, OK; three sons, Don (Phyllis Ford) Lehman of Newalla, OK, Gary (Sally) Lehman and Ken (Cindy) Lehman both of Fort Gibson, OK; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
George was a member of Grace Church, 14036 Matanzas Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33905. Memorial services are pending and in lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Grace Church. Arrangements by Anderson Funeral Home of Fort Myers.
