DOROTHY DOUGLASS JONES

— Dorothy Jones, 97, life long Muskogee resident passed away, Wednesday, May 7, 2008. She was born October 16, 1910, in Muskogee to John R. & Genevieve (Cooke) Douglass.
Dorothy graduated from Muskogee Central High School with the class of 1928. She attended Ferry Hall Prep School in Lake Forrest, IL before attending and graduating in 1932 from the University of Oklahoma. While at OU, she was affiliated with Pi Beta Phi Sorority. Dorothy was a member of the Muskogee Art Guild, the New Century Book Club, a charter member of Muskogee Service League and a member of Grace Episcopal Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Genevieve Luhn.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Preston W. Jones, Sr.; hers sons, J. Ross Jones & his wife DeVerle of Minneapolis, MN and Preston W. Jones, Jr. of Muskogee; her grandchildren, Christopher Jones & wife, Amy and Jennifer Brandstetter & husband, James; and her great grandchildren, Alex Jones, Lucille Jones and Rooke Brandstetter.
A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 10, 2008 at the Bradley Belltower Chapel with Rev. Kirk Woodliff officiating.
The family has entrusted Bradley Family Funeral Service of Muskogee with the arrangements.
