Roy Max Wolfe, 82, of Muskogee, died Saturday, May 10, 2008 at York Manor Nursing Home. He was born March 15, 1926 to Joe and Glenoria (Transue) Wolfe in Garden City, Kansas. Roy grew up in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. He married Ruby Smith on May 24, 1954. He worked as a service technician at Litton Company for 26 years. He was an active member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Roy loved playing the guitar and singing gospel music. He enjoyed gardening and raised delicious cantaloupe and tomatoes.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents; son, Rickey Smith; daughter, Ruby Catherine Smith; brother Willis Morris; sister, Lucretia Stanley and two nephews. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ruby Wolfe, of Muskogee; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Marty Longsdorf, of Prathersville, MO; grandson, Danny Wayne Shook, of Kansas City, MO; granddaughter, Dawnia Mosby and her husband, Terry, of Trimble, MO; sister, Mary Hammonds, of Muskogee and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Park Mausoleum with Pastor Ron Shelton officiating.
Funeral service arrangements are under the direction of Foster-Petering Funeral Home.
