— Mandy Jo Washington Tubby, 26, was born July 7, 1982 in Tahlequah OK, the daughter of Joe Washington, Jr. and Mary (Cramp) Washington. She attended Oktaha Public Schools. Mandy Jo was married (on her father’s birthday), March 22, 2005 to Daniel L. Tubby, whom she loved very much. She was an Army wife and was very supportive of Daniel while he was in Iraq. She and Daniel were beginning a family life together when she was called home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ, Saturday, June 20, 2009. Mandy was very family oriented and enjoyed playing sports with her husband, family and cousins, She especially loved watching and playing with her nephew, Hayden J. Washington. Mandy also enjoyed doing arts and crafts, making and painting things for her husband and family. She loved music, her favorite groups were the “Ramones” and the “All-American Rejects” . Mandy & Daniel’s favorite song was “Saturday Nights” by the “Misfits”.
Mandy Jo was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Robert F. Cramp and paternal grandparents, Wilma Rowena (Wolfe) Washington and Joe Washington, Sr. She is survived by her husband, Daniel L. Tubby; her parents; her brother, John T. Washington; sisters, Katie L. Washington and Laura L. Washington; and a nephew she loved so much, Hayden Joe Washington, all of Muskogee; her grandmother, Helen Juanita Cramp of Muskogee; mother-in-law, Shirley Holmes of Muskogee; father-in-law, Bobby Tubby of Canadian; brothers-in-law, Jonathan Tubby of Canadian and Bobby Ray Sharp of Fort Hood, TX; sisters-in-law, Allyssa Tubby of McAlester and Mandy Andrews of Las Vegas NV; grandmother-in-law, Mable Juanita Jackson; aunts, Genell Perez of FL; Sandra Carey & husband, Dale of Muskogee; Janet S. Washington of Muskogee; Jo Lynn Smith & husband, Terry of Enid, and Leslie A. Deere of Muskogee; great aunts, Dorothy Kelly, Irene Mooney, Mary Morgan, and Relli Kelly, all of Muskogee; great uncle, Mac Kelly of Okmulgee; cousins, Jammie L. Beth, Lee Ann Malchaski & husband, Darrold, Maggie Cornell & husband, Billy, Birdie Pingleton, William (Fixico) Washington, Tisha Gable, Jay, Tim and Jill Smith, Candise Mandeng, Dennis Dobson, Jr. Tasha Byrd and her husband, Nathan, Sr.; and many second cousins and friends.
A celebration of the life of Mandy Jo Tubby will be held at 7:00 p.m., today, Saturday, June 27, 2009 at the Bradley Belltower Chapel with Dale Carey and Norman Daniels officiating.
