Anita Mae Fields

1957 - 2013

Mrs. Anita Mae Fields, after 55 seasons of life, transitioned to everlasting life on Friday, May 17, 2013 from Muskogee, Oklahoma.

A resident of Taft, Oklahoma, Anita was born on July 22, 1957 to William Thirsty and Lillian Thirsty-Hulbert in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

Anita was a medication nurse for over 30 years, having worked at Coweta Manor Nursing Home, as well as other health care facilities. She loved helping people and caring for others. Anita loved her family and friends.

On May 12, 2013, Anita gave her life to Christ at New Life Ministries in Taft. She loved her Pastors, Michael and Denise Gaulden, Sr., and enjoyed the fellowship at the Church.

She was preceded in death by her Father, William Thirsty, J.C. Thirsty and Watie Ray Thirsty, Jr.

Anita leaves to Cherish her memory; her husband of 31 years, Clyde Fields, Jr., of the home in Taft; a daughter, Athena Lurks [Josephus], Tulsa, Oklahoma; three sons, Clyde III, and Nickie Fields, Muskogee, and Darrick Smith, Taft, Oklahoma; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lolita Shannon [Thomas], Hulbert, Oklahoma, Judy Coiner [Lyle], Stillwell, Oklahoma, and Dorothy Jean Teague, Taft, Oklahoma; three brothers, Bill Thirsty [Sandy], Marble City, Oklahoma, Watie Thirsty, Stillwell and Jimmy Thirsty [Rolinda] Tahlequah, Oklahoma; her very special friends, Alicia Sourie, Suther "Sunny Boy" Walker and Johnny H. Williams, all of Taft, Oklahoma; along with a caravan of other relatives and friends and her loving Church family.

The final hour with Anita will be shared on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the New Life Ministries of Taft. Pastor Michael Gaulden, Sr., will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Taft City Cemetery.  You may visit Mrs. Fields, as she slumbers in sweet repose at the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., in Muskogee on Friday from 12 Noon until 6 PM.
