Margaret Sue Causby, 74 year old Warner resident passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2014, in Tulsa. Margaret was born Saturday, September 16, 1939, to Jasper and Beaulah (Smith) Rowland in Webbers Falls. She grew up in the greater Muskogee area with her twelve siblings. In 1975, she met Gilbert “Gil” Causby at Ft. Sill when he was returning from service in the Army, and they were later married on Monday, April 12, 1976, in Nuevo Loredo, Mexico. The couple moved to Warner in the early 1980's for Gil's job with the power plants. Margaret raised the children, and as they grew also helped raise the grandchildren. She will be remembered as a doting caregiver to her entire family and loved spending time with her family. Margaret was known for having her coffee and newspaper every morning, and in her spare time enjoyed bowling, camping, fishing, and trips to the casino. She was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.
Margaret was preceded in death by daughter Terri Whittle; grandson Cody Lee Smith; and siblings Don Rowland, Norma Haughey, and Helen Ritchie.
She is lovingly survived by her loving husband Gil of the home; children Cindy Kaiser of Muskogee, Nancy Kunsman and husband Evan of Tahlequah, Kayla Johnson of Weatherford, OK, Virginia Causby of Mineral Wells, TX, Jennifer Causby of Tyler, TX, and Ron Causby of Tulsa; siblings, Kenneth Rowland and wife Ann of Friendswood, TX, Ruthie Wigginton and husband Mike of McAlester, Barbara Brown of Muskogee, Jasper Rowland and wife Linda of Virginia, Melvin Rowland of Muskogee, Debbie Williams of Dallas, TX, Jimmy Dale Rowland and wife Carmel of Las Vegas, NV, Joyce Baker of Warner, and Darrell Rowland of Warner; and special “adopted daughter” Stacie Sallee, as well as 13 grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Viewing for Margaret will be held at Garrett Family Funeral Home on Friday, January 3, 2014, from noon until 7 P.M. Funeral services will be held at Warner First Baptist Church on Saturday, January 4, 2014, at 2:00 P.M. with Jennifer Causby officiating. Committal prayers and Interment will follow in Warner Memorial Cemetery under the personal direction of Luke Faires. Jeremy Sharp, Justin Kunsman, Jason Sharp, Jon Kunsman, Ryan Whittle, and Colton Whittle-Sharp will serve as Casket Bearers. Bill Mullins and Evan Kunsman will serve as Honorary Casket Bearers.
