Billy Joe “Jody” McDonald

1946 - 2013

— Funeral services for Billy Joe “Jody” McDonald, 66, of Muskogee, OK, will be held at 1:30 P.M. Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Immanuel Baptist Church in Muskogee with Reverend Adrian Totty officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee.

Jody was born July 25, 1946 at Fort Smith, AR, the son of Laverne and Juanita (Keck) McDonald and died Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Muskogee. On February 24, 1979 he married Kathleen Dobbs in Muskogee. He was self-employed.

Survivors include his wife, Kathleen of the home; two sons, Billy McDonald and wife, Amanda, of Decatur, AR, Archie McDonald and Raymond Contreras of Muskogee; three daughters, Sherry Swimmer and husband, Mike, of Warner, Cindy Gilbert of Muskogee, Stephanie McDonald of Muskogee; six brothers, David McDonald and wife, Shirley, of Jacksonville Beach, FL, Ronald McDonald and wife, Joanie, of Fort Smith, AR, Tommie Morris and wife, Pat, of Wichita, KS, Jimmy Morris of Muskogee, Jerry Morris of Tulsa, Paul Morris and wife, Pam, of Muskogee; three sisters, Carolyn Stewart of Muskogee, Janet Griffith and husband, Gregg, of Muskogee, Kathy Davison and husband, Bill, of Fort Gibson; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.

Billy Joe (Gentle Jody) was a kind, gentle, and loving man who will truly be missed by his family and friends.
