Jimmy Ray Clymer, 48 of Muskogee, passed away Sunday morning, April 6, 2014 surrounded by his family. Jimmy was born June 17, 1965 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Nathaniel and Lois (Webb) Clymer. He grew up and attended Warner Public Schools and then graduated from Pentecostal Academy Center, which was known as P. A. C., in Muskogee.
The youngest of four children born to Nathaniel and Lois, Jimmy’s family fondly remembers growing up out in the country in the Keefeton Community south of Muskogee. The family recalled how much Jimmy enjoyed hunting and fishing on the family farm.
On February 4, 1995, Jimmy married the love of his life, Willa ‘Sabra’ Pruitt, in Sevier, Tennessee. They celebrated over 19 years of marriage together. Jimmy loved spending time with Sabra and his children. His children remember how much he enjoyed golfing. They remember that golfing really became one of his favorite pasttimes while they lived in Georgia.
By trade, Jimmy was a Millwright in the construction industry. He travelled a lot with his job but was always glad to get back home to Sabra and his children. He was loved very much and will be missed by his family and all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Dayna Clymer and his father-in-law, Mack Pruitt.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Sabra of the home; his children, Nathan Ray Clymer of Murray, Kentucky, Justin Andrew Todd of Buford, Georgia, Hayley Danielle Clymer of Buford, Georgia, and Joshua Bryce Clymer of Buford, Georgia; his parents, Nathaniel and Lois Clymer of Muskogee, Oklahoma; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Franklin and Diane Clymer of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Leon and RaNaile Clymer of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; his mother-in-law, Margie Pruitt of Carnesville, Georgia; and numerous other members of the family.
On Tuesday, April 8, 2014, the family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at First Assembly Of God, 3100 Gulick Street, Muskogee with Kevin Jones and Phillip Haas officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Johnny Lewis, Eric Dotson, Jerry Christian, Randy Wilson, Paul Dotson and Mike Morse. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Harris, Stanley Medlin, John Smith and Jeff Pedigo. Interment will be in Agnew Cemetery in Muskogee.
