John Maulin Merrill, Jr.

1965 - 2013

John M. Merrill, Jr. of Okay, Oklahoma passed this life on Thursday, November 14, 2013 in Tulsa at the age of 48. He was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma on November 2, 1965 to Elinor “Sue” (Clark) and John M. Merrill, Sr. John was a 1982 graduate of the Okay High School. He loved fishing, camping and being outdoors. John especially enjoyed trail riding on his horse. He was a jokester, enjoyed laughing and cutting up with everyone.

He is survived by his mother and father: John and “Sue” Merrill, Sr. of Okay, Oklahoma, his brother Ricky D. Merrill and his wife Connie of Okay, two sisters: Donna Merrill and Nancy Russell and her husband Bret all of Okay, Oklahoma, nieces, great nieces, nephews and great nephews, other family members and dear friends.

Services for John will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, November 18, 2013 at the Christian Chapel in Muskogee, with Pastor’s Jack McComb and William Clark officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Shipman Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Shipman Funeral Home & Crematory, Wagoner, OK.
