Nellie E. Lamb

February 22, 1925 - February 7, 2014

Nellie E. Lamb, 88, Marion, died at 5:30 am, Friday, February 7, 2014 in her residence. She was born in Evansville, Indiana, to the late Martin and Loretta Wangler. She married Wilton "Bill" Elmer Lamb on June 27, 1997. He survives.

She formerly worked as a psychiatric nurse at Muskogee Regional Hospital in Oklahoma. Nellie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Marion, Indiana and previously served in the Primary, Young Women, and the Relief Society of the church. She and her husband served a mission in the Salt Lake City Temple, Utah. She enjoyed crafts, gardening and flowers. She always made a Christmas ornament each year for her children and grandchildren. Nellie enjoyed reading.

The Funeral Service will be at 1 PM , on Monday, February 10, 2014  at the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, 1465 E. Bradford, Marion, Indiana. Burial will be in Estates of Serenity, Marion.

Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 PM on Monday, February 10, 2014 prior to the service in the church.

Survivors are: Husband: Wilton "Bill" Lamb, Marion, IN; Daughters: Diana Black, Idaho; Jannell Kimes    Birmingham, AL;

Alecia (Ron) Anders, Marion, IN; Linnea (Jeff) King, Fairmount, IN; Susan (Jim) Mock, New Jersey; Cherry Crommett, Florida; Eileen (Jerry) Hobden,     Slidell, Louisiana; Verna L. (Randy) Doughty; Muskogee, OK. Sons: David Vogel, Evansville, IN; Phillip (Pam) Vogel, Fairmount, IN; James E. (Kim) Lamb, Tracy, CA. Several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by Sisters, Kathleen Chapman, Blanche Tomlinson, and Lonita Niebuhr.

Arrangements entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN 46952.
