Jewell Lorraine Brandt

1920 - 2014

Jewell L. Brandt, 93, joined our Lord on Monday, February 3, 2014. She was born on September 14, 1920 at Brushy Mountain, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of James C. White and Willa (Heard) White and the oldest of ten children. Mom spent her whole life in Muskogee, OK.

Jewell married Murl Brandt on January 6, 1937. From this union six children were born; sons, David and wife, Usa Brandt, Joseph and wife, Pamela Brandt, and Mark T. Brandt; daughters, Linda Weatherford and husband, Bob, and Myrna Scrivner. Other survivors include her siblings, Bobbie Burns, Barbara McCoy, and Jerry White all of Broken Arrow. She was preceded in death by her husband, Murl; son, James Brandt; granddaughter, Natalie (Brandt) Braden; son-in-law, Charles Scrivner; brothers, J. C. White, Curtis White, and Cleatis White; sisters, Hazel Milburn, Nancy Hurd, and Frankie Hull.

Services for Jewell will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 10, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Muskogee with Father Bryan Brooks and Father Mike Knipe officiating. Pallbearers will be Mike Elsky, Natt Brandt, Jody Whitlock, William Flowers, Daniel Beames, and Kent Sellers. Honorary pallbearers will be David Brandt, Joseph Brandt, Mark Brandt, and Robert Weatherford. A Rosary for Jewell will be held at 7:00 P.M. Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home Chapel.

Mother will always be remembered as a loving, caring, Christian woman.
