Sal Sevier was born to Fredrico and Isidra (Cuellar) Sevier in Lytle, TX, on September 27, 1938. After high school he joined the US Army where he met the love of his life, Edith Ann Dobson. The two entered into a long and happy marriage and were blessed with three children, Sherri, Robert, and David.

Sal fulfilled a lifelong dream when he graduated from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Academy in August 1966. He served as a trooper on the Oklahoma City Crosstown for 4 years, then transferred to the Muskogee Turnpike in 1970. He retired from the OHP in 1986 after 20 years of service.

The laid back lifestyle of retirement did not come naturally to Sal, but he was finally able to adjust by working again. This time with the Department of Public Safety where he was a permit clerk in the Size And Weights Office. Throughout his career as a public servant he continually served in the work of his Lord, touching the lives of many and witnessing to all.

He continued with the Lords work, living as an example to us of how to live for the Lord until he passed from this world and into paradise on Thursday, June 27, 2013. He has joined his parents, Fredrico and Isidra Sevier; brothers Chon and Fred Sevier; and sisters Elida Sevier Martinez, and Frances Sevier Auginaga.

He leaves behind his beloved wife Edie Sevier of Fort Gibson; daughter Sherri Trammel and husband Bobby of Tahlequah; sons Robert Sevier of Fort Gibson and David Sevier and wife Julie also of Fort Gibson: his brothers Raymond Sevier of California, Emilio Sevier, Roberto Sevier, and sisters Elena Soto and husband Pete, and Isidra "Pay" Cortez and husband Albert all of Lytle, TX; grandchildren Ashley Perkins and husband Aaron of Manchester, MO, Amber Sevier of Muskogee, OK, Ethan Holcomb and wife Stormie, Emily Holcomb, and Alison Holcomb all of Tahlequah, Jacob Sevier of Park Hill, Shane Sevier of Fort Gibson , Elijah Trammel of Tahlequah, and Ryan Sevier of Fort Gibson, great grandchildren Jackson Perkins and Easton Perkins of Manchester MO, Bronson Johnson of Muskogee, and Tyily Bradley of Tahlequah, and a host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
