Willie Dell Toney Alexander

1930 – 2013

— Funeral services for Willie Dell Toney Alexander, 82, of Porum, OK, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Webbers Falls, OK, with Henry Birdtail and Reverend Pat Alexander officiating. Burial will be in Tom Girty Cemetery at Webbers Falls, OK, under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls.

Willie was born December 29, 1930 in Porum, OK, the daughter and second child of Jesse and Lillie (Rattler) Toney and died Saturday, January 26, 2013 in Muskogee, OK.

Willie grew up in Ross Community and attended Ross School. She was a life-long resident of the Porum-Webbers Falls area and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. On January 5, 1949 she married LeRoy Alexander. To their union was born three children, Ruth Maxine, Phillip Ray, and Roger Lee. She was a homebody who enjoyed sewing, quilting, embroidering, and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her children, Ruth Maxine (Alexander) Miller and husband, Clem, of Stilwell, Phillip Alexander and wife, Carolyn, of Stilwell, Roger Alexander and wife, Darlene, of Muskogee; ten grandchildren, Quintin, Lee, Tammy, and BJ Miller, Craig and Dustin Alexander, Melany Hodge, Jason and Katherine Alexander, and Cassandra Bracken; eighteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sister, Martha Toney Alexander of Porum; nephews, nieces, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Alexander; grandson, Paul Miller; parents, Jesse and Lillie Toney; and one brother, Jon Rider Toney.

Willie will be remembered for her laughter, cooking, and most of all by her love for her family.
