Marieca Jewel Marlnee York

1963 - 2010

— Marieca Jewel Marlnee York, 47, of Linden, Texas died September 27, 2010 at her home after a long illness of Ovarian Cancer.  She suffers no more, she is at rest.

Marieca was born July 5, 1963 in Muskogee, Oklahoma and was a former employee of Network IP in Longview, Texas.  She enjoyed life and made life brighter and more exciting for those around her.  She will be so missed by those that know and love her.  Her hobbies were vast, including painting, traveling, classic cars, being with family and friends, going to concerts and numerous more.  She expressed her thanks many times for former employers, friends and family for acts of kindness during her illness.  She married Jon York in New Boston, Texas in 1994 and is preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Jewell Campbell and Alfred and Alice Marlnee, aunt Jessie and uncles Don, Oliver and Jack.

She is survived by her husband, Jon of Linden, Texas; her parents, Kenneth and Leslie Marlnee of Keifer, Oklahoma and Tom and Jenny Marie Little of Muskogee, Oklahoma; brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Tina Marlnee of Muskogee, Oklahoma, James and Priscilla Ackaret of Tulsa, Oklahoma; step-sisters, Chanee and Christy of Texas; three step-children, Stephen and wife, Tara, Aaron and Eric, all of Texas; sister-in-law, Tommie Briggs of California; brother-in-law, David York,; three grandchildren, Raeleigh, Kaylee, and Michael of Texas; nephew, Leo; nieces, Amnesty, Lauren, Elizabeth and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 1, 2010 at Bates Rolf Funeral Home in New Boston, Texas with  James Ackaret officiating.  Interment will be Friday at approximately 4:30 p.m. in McClain Cemetery, McClain, Oklahoma with her brother, James Ackaret officiating. Pallbearers will be David Marlnee, Jim Campbell, J.B. Herriman, Bobby Herriman, Brett Jones and Burt Taylor.
