Naomi Cunningham, in her 79th season of life, moved from "Labor to Refreshment" on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 from Muskogee.
A longtime resident of Rentiesville, she was born in Huttonville, the 6th of 13 children born to D. C. and Georgia Cunningham.
She was one of the areas "greatest cooks", laboring with love at the Rentiesville Community Center and nearly every restaurant in McIntosh County, from Fountainhead Lodge to Green Country Kitchen. Naomi possessed a loving spirit, shared with her natural children, other children and people she came in contact with throughout her life.
Naomi served the Lord through faithful membership of the First Baptist Church of Rentiesville, in the Choir, Church Clerk, Mission Department and of course, the Kitchen Committee.
She was greeted at the Golden Gate by her parents, a son, a daughter, a grandson and 6 siblings.
Naomi leaves to embellish upon her legacy, 4 sons, Wendell Cunningham, Kansas City, MO, Ivie L. Jones [Debbie], Checotah, OK, Clemmie Cunningham [Karen], Grand Prairie, TX and Cecil Cunningham [Starks], Rentiesville, OK; a daughter, Georgia M.
