1954 – 2013

— Glenn Ray Vanzant, 59, of Muskogee, died Monday, April 8, 2013 at Eastar Health System.  He was born and raised in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed anything to do with the outdoors. He was a hardworking man with many friends and a very large family. He was well loved and will be greatly missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Vanzant. Glenn is survived by his wife, Sharon Vanzant; children, Christy and Stephen Jordan of Ft. Gibson, Kasey and Chris Walden of Muskogee, Jennifer Jones and Shawn Burt of Muskogee and Jeremiah Jones of Muskogee; siblings, Edgar and Gloria Vanzant of Vian, Floyd and Sue Vanzant of Vian, Jeff Vanzant of Checotah, Kavin and Patty Vanzant of Muskogee, Wanda and Doug Fulkerson of Muskogee, Ola and Bob Foreman of Checotah, Mary Ann Reeve of Muskogee, Leila and Bill Jenkins of Checotah, Louise Evans of Modesto, CA and Randy Brice of Muskogee. Glenn had ten grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2013 at Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum with Pastor Gary Dotson officiating.

Funeral service arrangements are under the direction of Foster-Petering Funeral Home.
