Elnora Puckett

— On December 7, 2013, Elnora Puckett was called home.  She was born September 23, 1912 in Ola, Arkansas to Prince Williams and Lula Smith Williams.  Elnora came to Oklahoma at age 18 and lived in Haskell, Oktaha, and then moved to Muskogee in 1953.  She married Walter Puckett on June 4, 1930 and to this union five children were born, Walter Puckett Jr. (deceased), Willie Puckett of Blue Jay, CA, JoAnn Christian, Norman L. Puckett, both of Muskogee, and Louise Morrison of OKC., OK.  In her prime, she was a faithful member of Grace Episcopal Church.  Elnora was devoted to her family and friends and would do anything to help out her loved ones.  She will be remembered as a compassionate, loving, caring, and helpful person by all who knew her.  If you came to her home, she would always have a hot plate of home cooking and would encourage you to eat no matter what.  Elnora strived to have a positive word for everyone she would meet.

Family members that have gone on are her Husband; Mother; Father; six sisters, Ardina, Percella, Nettie Williams, Amy White, Ponola Martian, and Myra Neal; five brothers, Sylvester, Robert Ray, Melvin, Cozie, and McKinely Williams; son, Walter Puckett Jr.; and a host of other family and friends.

Those left to carry on her legacy, Daughters, JoAnn Christian and Louise Morrison; sons, Willie Puckett and Norman Puckett.  In addition, she has two sisters, Paralee Rucker of St. Louis, MO and Leatha Williams of Frisco, TX; a special nephew, Londelle White of Little Rock, AR; and a close family friend, Alneeta Johnson; a host of nieces and nephews; 16 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; and 21 great great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Rayfield Baptist Church, 601 Indianapolis St., Muskogee, Oklahoma.
