Thomas W. Buckley (Tom)

1951 - 2011

Tom Buckley, 59, of Muskogee, died on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 while at work in his business office at Muskogee Fence Company. He was born on May 18, 1951 in Brockton, Massachusetts to Margo and Bill Buckley. In 1956, Tom moved with his family to Muskogee, Oklahoma.  He attended local schools and graduated from Muskogee High School where he was the proud Captain of the State Championship Golf Team. He enjoyed playing golf and caddying at the Muskogee Country Club.  He graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1973.  He was an active member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and earned a B. S. Degree in Business Administration.  Tom worked for more than twenty years in the clothing manufacturing business in the St. Louis area.  In 2004, he moved back to Muskogee and with his parents bought Muskogee Fence Company.

Preceding Tom in death were his mother, Margo Buckley and brother, John Buckley.  Tom is survived by three children, Chris Buckley, Addye Buckley Burnell and her husband, Brandon, and Camilla Buckley; his father, Bill Buckley; sister, Jane O’Mell and her husband, Steve O’Mell, of Marianna, Ark. and brother, Bob Buckley and his wife, Missy Buckley, of Muskogee; nieces, Jennifer Marshbanks and her husband, Brett, and Kelly Buckley; nephews, Buckley O’Mell and Mark O’Mell of Little Rock, Ark.; aunt and uncle, Mary and Larry Queipo of Westfield, Mass. and numerous cousins from various parts of the country.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 31, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Bryan Brooks officiating.  Interment will follow in Greenhill Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Stuart Woods, Mike Voegeli, Nick Fuller, Lanny Dickmann, Tom Walden and David Dickmann.
