Ruby Jean Lewis


Ruby Jean Lewis, 89, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 with her family by her side. She was born July 23, 1923 in Porum, OK to Cruce and Ruby Lansford.

Jean worked in her church’s nursery ministry, Vacation Bible School and enjoyed working with children. She also loved hunting artifacts and collecting rocks. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.

Jean was proceeded in death by husband, Paul; grandson, Bryan Little; brother, Landon Lansford; sister, Betty Bohannon; sisters-in-law, Betty Lansford and Ruby Mae Lewis; mother, Ruby Richardon; father, Cruce Lansford, granddaughter, Jennifer Lewis.

She is survived by her children, Donald Lewis and wife, Glenda of Mansfield , TX, Ronald Lewis of Durham, NC, Bennie Lewis and wife, Malinda of Lake Jackson, TX, Paula Webb and husband, Jackie of Muskogee, OK; grandchildren, Donald and Tina Lewis of Sacramento, CA, Tori and Gil Ledesma of Mansfield, TX, Nikki and Charlie Lossing of Watagau, TX, Rhonda and Bob Morenzoni of Phoenix, AZ, Courtney Lewis and Chris Kaminski of Columbia, SC, Melissa Lewis of Duluth, MN, Stephen and Brenda Lewis of Lake Jackson, TX, Robin and Lynn Hebert of Houston, TX, Ryan and Karissa Webb of Muskogee, OK, Jordon and Britney Webb of Muskogee, OK, Jaclyn and Mike Morgan of Muskogee, OK; 27 great grandchildren; brothers, Cruce Lansford and Dick Lewis; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Ruby Jean Lewis will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 3, 2013 at Bradley Belltower Chapel with Reverend John Curtis officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery with Colton Hughart, Jordon Webb, Ryan Webb, Eli Little, Mike Morgan, Charlie Lossing, Cavin Webb and Jackie Webb serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Lewis, Brandon Lewis, Ethan Ledesma and Donald P. Lewis II.

The family has entrusted Bradley Family Funeral Service with the arrangements. Friends may send condolences to the family at
